The Herdade do Arrepiado Velho, a 19th century property built respecting the traditional architecture of the region, in the Alentejo, was purchased in 2001 by the Antunes family who launched an ambitious project: to transform Arrepiado Velho into a asset and a reference of excellence in the Alentejo. It was in 2002 that the 33 hectares of vines were planted on a terroir that combines schist soils with steep slopes, mild temperatures and an abundance of water.
Arrepiado Tradição Reserva has been aged for 18 months in carefully selected French oak barrels. It has a concentrated purple color. Very seductive nose, showing intense aromas of fresh black fruits and violets. Enveloping and fresh on the palate, with finely textured tannins and intense notes of red fruits with hints of chocolate.
