Born in 2014, Lions de Batailley refers to the two magnificent lions that guard the gate of the main courtyard of Château Batailley. The vines have been planted on this land, rich in history since the 17th century, and they have belonged to several families over time. Located in the heart of the Médoc, along the Gironde estuary, the terroir of Pauillac is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Carménère and Malbec on gravel soil with more or less sand.
On the palate, it has a nice density, ample, round tannins, soft substance and a nice balance, a great success. On the nose, you can smell small black fruits, brambles, old roses, floral. It is very seductive on the black fruits with cocoa notes and a woody present.
