The vineyard is located in the shadow of the bell tower of Pomerol. It is also the oldest estate in the appellation. Its origins date back to 1589. Its vineyard, in the center of the famous Pomerol plateau, is mainly composed of Merlot. The wines are ample, round and very elegant.
Château of the Domaine de l'Eglise Red 2013 has an earthy and fragrant bouquet of blackberry with a light scent of rose petal, hints of vanilla and leather. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with lively and energetic acidity. Fairly firm with good length, it is a woody and tannic wine. On the eye, it is more often ruby (garnet) in color with purple reflections in its young years and brick hues as it ages.
