Azienda Agricola Giovanni Rosso is a small family producer in the heart of the municipality of Barolo di Serralunga d'Alba, producing only red wines, in particular Barolo and its great variety, Nebbiolo.
Giovanni's son, Davide, took charge of the vinification, affinamento and aging of the wines with one goal in mind: “The wine must be a perfect copy of its terroir”. A new terroir was found in 2016 near a small inactive crater of the Etna volcano. The soil, entirely composed of volcanic sand, and the unique microclimate in the world, have made it possible to produce wines capable of telling the terroir with the most style and elegance.
Etna Rosso Red 2018 is a slightly powerful wine. On the nose. it has fine and deep aromas, introduced by Mediterranean citrus sensations, followed by violet, bergamot, wet stones, forest leaves and elegant notes of white pepper. On the palate, it is juicy, with progressive, delicate tannins and vibrant acidity. Neat and tasty finish.
