The Herdade do Arrepiado Velho, a 19th century property built respecting the traditional architecture of the region, in the Alentejo, was purchased in 2001 by the Antunes family who launched an ambitious project: to transform Arrepiado Velho into a asset and a reference of excellence in the Alentejo.
Covering a total area of around 100 hectares, the 33 hectares of vines were planted in 2002 on a terroir that combines, in a rare blend, schistose soils with pronounced slopes, mild temperatures and an abundance of water, natural features indicating great potential.
In its production, Arrepiado Collection Reserva Rouge has a concentrated ruby-violet color. Generous nose with a very intense aroma of crushed blackberries, balsamic and a little tobacco. Ample, very aromatic and full of firm and very ripe tannins. Good acidity and sustained finish.
