La Fayette Cognac is created using the traditional methods of aging, distillation and production that have been renowned for their application since the mid-1800s. The blend of La Fayette Cognac is made during the selection of new brandy. The brandy first stay 14 to 18 months in new oak barrels with a light toast scent. This is followed by 2 to 3 years of maturation in red barrels (aged barrels). Aging in stages allows the alcohol level to be gradually lowered from 55°, when first placed in barrels, to 40°.
Like its inspiration, La Fayette Cognac surprises with its audacity. It overflows with temperament and freshness with its notes of flowers and ripe fruit. On the nose, it has aromas of vanilla, fresh pear, floral notes(acacia), nutmeg. On the palate, its attack is invigorating, with a fresh, fruity, structured and full touch. Its finish has a beautiful aromatic precision.
