Quinta do Vallado, founded in 1716, is one of the oldest and most famous estates in the Douro Valley. The Quinta belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and remains in the hands of her descendants to this day.
Vinha da Coroa is located on one of the highest locations in Quinta do Vallado, like a crown over all other vineyards. Hence its name, Coroa.
On the nose, Vinha da Coroa Red 2018 has aromas of red fruits and wood, with a touch of toast, reminiscent of the barrels in which the wine aged. On the palate, it is a very fresh wine, with a hint of spice and a lingering finish reminiscent of red fruits. Completed with a soothing herbal taste.
