Motivated by his enthusiasm for good wines, Andrea Davaz founded Von Salis AG with two friends in 1994. The Bündner Herrschaft enjoys a very favorable climate due to its unique location in the Rhine Valley. The vineyard area is about 420 hectares and almost 80% of it is planted with red grape varieties, among which the Pinot Noir is the undisputed star of the vineyard. Thanks to the excellent quality of its wines and the classic Burgundian grape varieties, the Bündner Herrschaft is considered the Burgundy of Switzerland.
Pinot Noir Maienfeld Red 2019 is a red wine, which, on the nose, is charming, with fruity notes of raspberry, candy pebbles and also some wild herbs. On the palate, it has a velvety, elegant body with a flattering fruity sweetness, more raspberries, then gingerbread flavors as they linger in the sweet finish. A simple and fun gentleman's wine.
