In 1845, on the island of Madeira, William Hinton founded his distillery aimed at producing the highest quality rum and, in 1882, the distillery assumed a dominant position in the production and harvesting of sugar cane. The William Hinton Rum da Madeira results from the combination of spirits carefully selected for their nobility and undeniable quality. It has carefully aged for at least 6 years in French oak barrels. The final blend results from a second aging process for another year in several barrels of different origins, including Madeira wine. The result is a distinctive and complex rum.
Rum Madeira 6 years old has a slightly dark brown color. Its entry in the mouth is slightly sweet, with a balanced acidity. Bring out the flavor of the wood and the balance with the nuts.
